At Next to New, we value our customers and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Because most of our items are pre-owned or one-of-a-kind, we maintain a clear and fair return policy to ensure transparency and consistency.
1. All Sales Are Final
Most items sold at Next to New are gently used or unique, and are therefore sold “as-is.” We encourage all customers to carefully inspect items before purchasing, as all sales are final unless an exception is granted under our Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process (see below).
2. What Is an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)?
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is an approval issued by Next to New that allows a customer to return an item for review.
An RMA ensures that each return is properly documented, evaluated, and processed fairly.
To receive an RMA, customers must contact the store directly within 2 of purchase with the following information:

Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Description of the issue or reason for return

Photos (if applicable, for damaged or defective items)
Once reviewed, a member of our team will determine whether the return qualifies for store credit or an exchange and will provide instructions for returning the item.
3. Accepted Returns
Returns are only accepted with direct authorization from management.
All approved returns must have an RMA issued before being brought back or shipped to the store. Returns received without prior authorization will not be accepted.
4. Refund Method
If a return is approved through the RMA process:

Customers will receive store credit for the approved amount, or
-
An exchange may be offered for another item of equal value (if available).
Cash or credit refunds are not issued.
5. Return Conditions
To qualify for return consideration:

The item must be in the same condition as when purchased

The original receipt or proof of purchase must be presented

Returns must be made within 2 days from the date of purchase
Items showing additional wear, damage, or alterations after purchase will not be considered for a return.
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

Clearance or marked “final sale” items

Personal care items, undergarments, or accessories (for hygiene reasons)

Gift cards and store credit
